Guidelines for Submitting a Business to Local Divine

Local Divine helps people discover local businesses, services, restaurants, shops, and other places across India.

Our goal is to provide useful, relevant, and accurate business information so visitors can explore local options more easily.

These Listing Guidelines explain which businesses can submit their details, what information we require, how submissions are reviewed, and what businesses should know before requesting publication.

1. Who Can Submit a Business?

Businesses and service providers operating in India may submit their information for consideration.

Depending on our content focus, eligible submissions may include:

  • Restaurants, cafes, and food establishments
  • Beauty salons, nail salons, and tattoo studios

2. Information Required for a Business Listing

To help us review your submission, please provide accurate and complete information wherever applicable.

Basic Business Details

  • Business name
  • Business category
  • Contact person’s name
  • Business email address
  • Telephone number
  • State and city
  • Complete business address or service area

Online Information

  • Official website, if available
  • Google Maps link, if available
  • Official social media profiles, if relevant

Business Description

Provide a clear description of your business, including:

  • Main products or services
  • Specialities or areas of expertise
  • Location and service area
  • Relevant information that helps customers understand what you offer

Images and Supporting Information

You may submit a business logo, photographs, or other relevant materials. Please ensure you own the materials or have permission to use them.

Accurate and complete information helps us assess a submission. We may request additional details where necessary.

3. Accuracy and Verification

All submitted information should be truthful, current, and relevant.

Before submitting your business, please check that:

  • Your business name is accurate.
  • Your address and contact details are correct.
  • Your website and other links work.
  • Your description reflects the services you actually provide.
  • Any licences, qualifications, or certifications you mention are genuine and current where required.
  • You have permission to submit all photographs, logos, and other materials.

Local Divine may review submitted details and request supporting information. Submission or publication should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every claim, licence, qualification, or business practice has been independently verified.

4. Business Descriptions and Content Standards

Business descriptions should be informative, professional, and easy to understand.

Please avoid submitting:

  • False, misleading, or exaggerated claims
  • Repeated keywords intended to manipulate search rankings
  • Excessive promotional language or unrelated content
  • Copied descriptions without the necessary rights
  • False awards, credentials, testimonials, or reviews
  • Content that infringes intellectual property or other legal rights
  • Illegal, fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise prohibited material

We may edit submitted content for clarity, formatting, relevance, and compliance with these guidelines. Significant changes may be discussed with the submitter where appropriate.

5. Review and Publication Process

Business submissions are subject to review.

Our review process may include:

  1. Checking the submitted information for completeness.
  2. Assessing relevance to Local Divine and the selected category or location.
  3. Reviewing the description, links, and supporting materials.
  4. Requesting additional information if needed.

Submitting a business does not guarantee approval, publication, a particular publication date, or a specific placement on Local Divine.

6. Free Submissions and Paid Listings

Standard business submissions and paid promotional services are separate.

A business may submit its details for consideration through our standard submission process. Paid listings, sponsored features, and advertising opportunities may be available separately, subject to our current offerings and terms.

Where paid services are offered, applicable fees, duration, deliverables, and conditions will be communicated separately.

Payment does not guarantee:

  • Approval of content that violates our guidelines
  • A specific position in Google Search or Google Maps
  • Guaranteed website traffic, leads, enquiries, or sales
  • Permanent publication regardless of future policy or legal concerns

7. Updating or Correcting a Listing

Business information can change over time. If your business address, telephone number, opening hours, website, services, or other details change, please contact us with:

  • The existing listing URL, if published
  • The business name
  • The information that needs to be corrected
  • The updated details
  • Supporting information, where appropriate

We will review your request and make updates where appropriate. We may request additional information to confirm that the requester is authorized to represent the business.

8. Duplicate Listings

Please avoid submitting the same business multiple times for the same location without a valid reason.

If your business operates from multiple locations, provide accurate details for each location and clearly distinguish between branches.

We may merge, edit, decline, or remove duplicate submissions to keep our content useful and avoid confusing visitors.

9. Reviews, Ratings, and Testimonials

Any reviews, ratings, or testimonials submitted for consideration must be genuine and must not be misleading.

We do not permit fabricated reviews, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate ratings.

Where Local Divine displays third-party ratings or reviews, their availability and accuracy may depend on the relevant source. Users should review the original source where necessary.

Publication of a business does not mean Local Divine endorses its services or guarantees customer satisfaction.

10. Prohibited Businesses and Content

We may reject or remove submissions that involve unlawful activities, fraud, deceptive practices, impersonation, infringement of rights, or other content that is unsuitable for our platform.

We may also decline submissions where business information cannot be reasonably assessed, is materially incomplete, or does not fit our website’s scope.

We reserve the right to review submissions and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law and any relevant agreements.

11. Listing Removal and Disputes

We may update, suspend, or remove a listing if:

  • Information is materially inaccurate or outdated.
  • A business requests a correction or removal and the request is appropriate.
  • We receive a credible complaint about the listing.
  • The listing violates these guidelines or applicable law.
  • We identify duplicate, misleading, unauthorized, or otherwise unsuitable content.

12. Responsibility for Submitted Information

The person submitting a business is responsible for ensuring that the information and materials provided are accurate and authorized for use.

Businesses remain responsible for their own products, services, customer interactions, representations, licences, and compliance with applicable laws.

Local Divine is a discovery platform. A listing should not be treated as a certification, guarantee, or endorsement unless we expressly state otherwise.

13. Privacy and Use of Submitted Information

Information submitted through our forms may be used to review submissions, communicate with businesses, maintain listings, and administer relevant services.

Information intended for public display may be published on Local Divine. Please do not submit private personal information that should not be made public.
