October is also a good time to look for local Navratri and Dussehra celebrations around Ludhiana.
During Navratri, residents may attend religious programmes, Ram Leela performances, Garba and Dandiya events, depending on the venue and organiser. Dussehra celebrations are expected around 20 October 2026.
The experience can vary from one part of the city to another. Some programmes focus on worship and cultural performances, while others include public gatherings and festive activities.
Before you go:
- Check announcements from the temple or event organiser.

- Expect possible traffic and parking delays near popular venues.
- Follow any entry or security instructions.
If you are planning a family outing, check whether the event is suitable for children and whether seating is available.
3. Aajeevika SARAS Mela — Proposed for 27 October to 5 November 2026
The Aajeevika SARAS Mela is a proposed upcoming event worth watching if you enjoy handicrafts, regional products, food stalls and shopping.
The Ludhiana district administration published a notice concerning the mela for 27 October to 5 November 2026. However, a report published on 9 October said the administration was seeking an alternative venue after concerns were raised about holding the event at Punjab Agricultural University during the university’s examination and youth-festival period.
This means visitors should not assume the venue is final.
